The Need:
Most of us don’t spend a lot of time thinking about diapers. But if you are a parent without enough of them, they can become a major source of stress, guilt, and desperation.
Imagine …
* having to choose between buying diapers and putting food on the table
* needing to leave your baby in the same diaper for the entire day – or longer
* trying to clean a soiled disposable diaper so it can be reused
* listening to your baby cry for a prolonged period because you can’t change a diaper
* dealing with your baby’s severe diaper rash, urinary tract infections, and skin infections
* missing work or school because you can’t afford the full day’s supply of diapers your daycare requires

There’s good news!
When parents have reliable access to adequate diapers, the benefits to family stability, health and emotional state are significant. The Diaper Bank of NC- Lower Cape Fear works to meet this need by providing diapers to community partners for distribution to families in need in our community.
